These unique cooking workshops are 100% hands-on and kept as small groups in order to get everyone involved in the fun! Many mini chefs return to each school holiday cooking classes to try out the fun, themed menus on offer.  These friendly Brisbane kids culinary classes have been running since 2015 here at Come and Cook in The Gap and popular holiday workshops book up quickly. If you would like to come along and join the fun cooking with your child, please book 2 tickets. Kids under 7 will need to have a parent attending too.

Vouchers are available for great presents and are valid for 3 years for any 2 hour cooking class for 7-11 year olds ($75) or 2.5 hour cooking class ($89) for 11-16 year olds. Please fill in this form to purchase a voucher.

    Cheeseburger with a Homemade Sesame Bun and Big Mac Special Sauce created by the chefs, Hashbrown or Air-fryer Fries (kids can choose), Free-range Chicken Nuggets and a Crispy Apple Pie

    * The differences between this class and the older kids, longer class are that Karen does more preparation for the Littlies classes to avoid peelers and knives; apples are cooked prior to class, chicken is cut up and potatoes are ready to chop.

    Come along and cook up a storm with our most popular menu in our friendly, uniquely small group and hands-on classes held in The Gap.  Learn culinary skills, how to use kitchen tools safely and discover how to interpret a recipe. Leave with containers full of recipe items made and also the secret recipes to recreate again and again.

Please read our Terms and Conditions to decide if this type of class is right for your child:

  • Behaviour expectations; respectful, kind, safe and inclusive. Classes are held at a medium to fast pace with turn-taking and listening to instructions needed to participate.

  • These are stand-up lessons to replicate the reality of being a chef and move about easily in the kitchen space.

  • Aprons are only worn by one participant  (please feel free to bring your own), surfaces are regularly disinfected and hands are frequently washed and dried with single use paper towel.

  • Participants just need to bring 2 plastic containers and a drink bottle. They will take home all food made and students need to arrive 5 mins early with enclosed shoes on and long hair tied back.

  • Class sizes are always kept small to be uniquely hands-on with kitchen skills to practice individually and within a group of 3.

  • Dietary requirements must be disclosed at time of booking and please also request a vegetarian option at this time.

  • Classes are targeted at specific age ranges and the lessons are 'stop and drop'.
